Ensure that the tab on the processor cover is positioned underneath the center cover latch on the socket. 9. Pivot the socket release lever back towards the socket, and snap it into place to secure the processor. 10. Clean the thermal grease from the bottom of the heat sink. Remove the stand (see Removing the Stand). 5. Disconnect the power plug cable from the power supply unit. 6. Disconnect the power supply unit cable from the connector (ATX_POWER1) on the system board. 7. Remove the four screws that secure the power supply unit to the chassis. 8.
