This allows you to take advantage of low-cost calling hours offered by your telephone company. Press [START/SET/COPY). 63 Fax/Copy Sending Faxes From memory The unit is able to scan and store documents into memory, and then transmit the stored document. The memory capacity is approx. 120 pages based on the CCITT No. 1 Test Chart in standard resolution. For the CCITT No. 1 Test Chart, see page 168. Transmitting documents from memory Insert the document FACE DOWN. 1 2 3 Enter the fax number using the dial keypad. Press [QUICK SCAN]. •The document will be fed into the unit and scanned into memory. After storing all pages, the unit will transmit the document. •The amount of memory used will be shown as a percentage on the display. Note: •While scanning, do not move the pages which have already ejected. A paper jam may occur. Allow the scanning process to finish before viewing documents. •The stored document will be automatically erased after transmission. •To cancel the memory transmission, press (STOP) while or after scanning the document. • If you select the fine, super fine or half tone resolution, the number of document that can be sent will decrease. • If the stored pages exceed the memory capacity, the transmission will be canceled. 64 Sending Faxes Multiple stations This feature is useful for sending the same document to selected parties whose telephone numbers are stored in the One-Touch Dial or JOG DIAL directory. You must program the desired parties into one of the BROADCAST keys (One-Touch Dial key 1, 2, 3 or 4). Important: • Before programming, make sure that the desired telephone numbers have been stored in the One-Touch Dial or JOG DIAL directory. • Each BROADCAST key can be used as a One-Touch Dial key or as a broadcast key. These functions cannot be used at the same time. Programming telephone numbers into the BROADCAST keys 1 Press [DIRECTORY PROGRAM].
