Make sure the shaving or epilating head snaps home properly (fig. 4). Note: the shaving head and the epilating head can only be mounted on the appliance in one way. How to use the appliance Legs (epilating) • Make sure your skin is clean and free of grease and cream. Do not use cream right before you start epilating. • Epilation is easier if you have just taken a bath or a shower. However, your skin must be completely dry before you start epilating. • If you epilate for the first time, we advise you to try out the appliance on a part of your body with only little hair growth. In this way, you can grow accustomed to this epilation method. • Because the hairs are pulled out by the roots, the skin 7 may be slightly sensitive after the first time of use. This phenomenon will decrease after you have used the Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1 several times. • After use you can apply a mild cream or body milk to your skin. This may help prevent possible skin irritation. -Insert the appliance plug properly into the inlet socket (fig. 5). -Put the mains plug in the wall socket. -Switch the Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1 on by selecting the desired speed. Also select the desired setting of the pain softener. All combinations of speed and pain softener settings are possible. Speed (fig. 6, 7) • Select speed I for areas with little hair growth, areas that are hard to reach and areas with bones directly beneath the skin (such as knees and ankles). • Select speed II for larger areas with a stronger hair growth. Pain softener (fig. 8, 9) • Select normal strength for areas with bones directly beneath the skin (such as knees and ankles). • Select extra strength for softer areas (such as your calves). -Stretch your skin tight with your free hand to make the hairs stand upright (fig. 10). -Place the Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1 on the skin at a right angle, with the speed selector pointing towards you. Move the appliance against the direction of hair growth (fig. 10). Do not press the appliance against the skin. -To switch off the Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1, first set the 8 pain softener to position - (fig. 11) and then set the speed selector to position O (fig. 12). Underarms and bikini line (shaving) You can use the shaving head to shave the delicate parts of your body, such as your underarms and bikini line. With the shaving head you will obtain a smooth result in a comfortable and gentle way. -Mount the shaving head onto the appliance. -Switch the appliance on. We advise you to select speed I. You do not need to use the pain softener. - Place the trimmers and the foil on your skin. Move the shaving head slowly over the skin against the direction of hair growth while pressing it lightly (fig. 13). Cleaning • For a good, smooth result it is necessary to clean the epilating head and the shaving head after each use. • Never immerse the appliance in water. • Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring pads or cloths, petrol, acetone etc. to clean the plastic housing of your Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1. • Never try to remove the epilating discs from the appliance. • Do not exert pressure on the shaving foil to avoid damaging it. -Unplug the appliance. -Remove the pain softener (fig. 14) and the epilating or shaving head (fig. 15). -Clean all accessible parts with the brush. 9 -Pain softener: clean the rubber teeth under the tap with the brush (fig. 16). -Epilating head: clean the discs with the brush (fig. 17). -Shaving head: remove the shaving foil from the cutter block (fig. 18) and clean the hair chamber, the cutter block and the foil with the brush. -First place the epilating or shaving head and then the pain softener back onto the appliance (fig. 19). Maintenance and replacement • After use you can store the Satinelle Sensitive 2 in 1 in the cassette. - Shaving head: rub a drop of sewing machine oil onto both trimmers and the shaving head twice a year. • If you use the appliance two or more times a week, we advise you to replace the shaving foil and the cutter block every 1 or 2 years. • A worn-out or damaged shaving foil can only be replaced with an original Philips shaving foil (type number HP 6105). • For replacement of the cutter block, part HP 2911 is available. 10 Francais Francais Satinelle Sensitive 2 en 1 - avec systeme d'epilation anti-douleur et tete de rasage interchangeables Avec votre nouvel epilateur Satinelle Sensitive 2 en 1, vous pouvez vous epiler rapidement et efficacement.
