Getting to Know Your Device Your device supports data, SMS and voice services through the mobile phone network, enabling you to communicate anytime and anywhere. Modem Cap NOTE: microSD logo is a trademark of SD-3C, LLC. 3 Installation Guide Installing the (U)SIM Card and microSD Card . Press and push the front cover and remove it. NOTE: Do not open the front cover rudely so as to avoid the damage of the front cover. . Insert the (U)SIM card into the (U)SIM card slot. IMPORTANT: Your device does not support Nano SIM card or any other nonstandard SIM cards. To avoid device damage, please do not use them or any card holders. 4 3. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot. NOTE: This modem only supports microSD card. 4. Slide the front cover gently back into place. 5 Connecting the Modem to Your PC . Plug the USB connector into your computer’s USB port and make sure that it is tightly inserted. . The OS automatically detects and recognizes your modem and starts the installation wizard. 6 Installing Software On different operating systems, the installation may be different. Follow the system prompts during the process. For Windows OS Follow the system prompts to complete the software installation. NOTE: If the system does not launch installation automatically, you can run the installation program in path of My Computer > ZTEMODEM. For Mac OS The system will automatically display a CD-ROM icon on the desktop when you connect the modem to your computer correctly. Double click the installation package in the CD-ROM, and follow the system prompts to complete the software installation. Using Your Modem Double-click the icon on your desktop to launch the software manager. Various icons are presented to enable quick operation of the following functions: Icon Function Description Connection Click Connect to connect to the Internet or click Disconnect to disconnect from the Internet. Statistics Show the connection information. Call Make a voice call. Text Send or read your short messages. Phonebook Save and view the different information of the contacts. Call Log View calling record information.
