o It must be protected with a 10 A slow-action fuse. o Should an extension lead be needed, this lead must be at least 1,5 mm2 per terminal thick, no more than 25 m. long and earthed. o There is a cavity at the back of the appliance for the mains electricity supply connection wire. o Do not allow water to enter the appliance. o Do not block the air inlets or outlets on your appliance, especially when used for heating. Should the mains electricity supply wire be damaged in any way, it must only be replaced with a wire of similar characteristics. Get in touch with the m a n u f a c t u r e r, after-sales service or similarly qualified p e r s o n . Fitting the batteries in the remote control: o Remove the cover from the battery compartment on the back of the remote control. o Insert the 2 A A A (1.5 volt) batteries supplied with your appliance. o Replace the cover. The display screen will flash 12 o ’ c l o c k . Wa r n i n g ! If the appliance is turned off and then turned back on again, there is a 3-minute interval before the compressor starts up again. This interval is necessary in order for the appliance to work p r o p e r l y. Transportation requirements There are castors fitted on your appliance to make moving it easier. If it is necessary to tilt your appliance in order to move it, then the internal water tank must be drained first. To do this, connect drainage pipe to stopcock at the bottom of the appliance. Warning! Be particularly careful when transporting this unit. There is a water drainage pipe on the bottom of the appliance which may break if knocked. Requirements for use + 23:00 start pure air ionic Instructions for Use About your remote control o You can choose whether to leave the remote control housed on the top panel of the appliance, Fig. 1, or use it at distances of up to approx. 8 metres, Fig. 2. o If you have been using the remote control housed on the appliance and wish to remove it, press down on the right-hand side of the control marked with three dots (next to the "Siemens" logo). o The symbols appear on the digital display screen in the most suitable position for the option in use at the time, Figs. 3 & 4. o When the remote control is being used at a distance, the appliance beeps to confirm that the remote control signal has been received properly. The relevant symbol appears on the display screen at the same time, . o The digital display screen is fitted with an illumination system which allows the selected options to be seen even in conditions of reduced visibility. When you are using the remote control housed on the appliance, then this light will stay on for a period of one minute as of the last button pressed. Warning! When inserting the remote control in its housing on the panel, make sure to do so in the right position, with the digital display screen on your left. Always try to aim the remote control at the front of the appliance to improve signal reception. o If you should mislay the remote control, then the appliance can be turned on and off using the manual "POWER" switch in the panel housing, (see appliance description). When turning it on in this way, the appliance comes on in the maximum air-conditioning mode at a set temperature of 20 °C. o Plug your appliance in. o Lead the hot-air expulsion duct outdoors. (see chapter "hot-air extraction options") o Turn the drainage stopcock to the temperature control position . o Turn the appliance on using the "On/Off" button. o Select the "Temperature control" function with the mode button. The ventilator speed is always set in the following order: 18.0 6 18.0 6 "Manual" : The ventilation speed can be modified to five different speeds using buttons< and >. The speed set is indicated on the LCD with an arrow. Depending on the ventilation speed selected, air performance varies from 125 m3/h (level 1) to 295 m3/h (level 5). Press button "h/°C" once to change the temperature. The temperature indication flashes and a five-second period is given to set the temperature using buttons < and >. "Turbo" : Temperature regulation is performed automatically when "turbo" is selected. The appliance starts up at 100% temperature control power and adapts to room atmosphere conditions directly, without passing through each of the levels. Depending on room atmosphere conditions, the appliance operates at between 100% and 50% maximum power when set to "turbo".
