Check that the switch is set to the mains voltage of your area. OTHERWISE THE EQUIPMENT MAY SUFFER SERIOUS DAMAGE, NOT COVERED BY THE GUARANTEE. First remove the plug from the mains socket. Use a coin to turn the switch to its proper position. SURFACE COATING Your new equipment has been given a special surface coating around its housing. When the equipment is on for the first time, some smoke may be formed when this coating is being heated. This is not dangerous! The smoke will disappear after about 30 seconds. BRUSH RELEASE When you wish to detach the curl/curls! Press the brush release button (3). Grasp the tip of the round brush (8) and roll out the curl. NOTE! 1. Do not let any kind of spray come into contact with the curler. 2. Avoid getting your curler wet (water spray etc.) and do not use it with your hands wet. If laying the curler aside while drying and styling your hair, always disconnect it from the mains as an extra safety precaution. 3. The round brush will become hot during use. Do not allow the cord to come into contact with the round brush during use. 4. The openings for air inlet and outlet must never become stopped up. Should the air flow be interrupted during use, by mistake, the built-in safety fuse will automatically cut off the equipment. The curler will be automatically reconnected after having cooled down for a few minutes. 5. Always remove the mains plug of your appliance after use and before cleaning it. 6. Take care that your hair does not come near the air intake (suction) (5). Children do not understand the risks from incorrect handling of electrical appliances. Children should therefore not use the air curler without the supervision of an adult. CARE OF THE AIR CURLER For correct functioning the air curler must be kept clean. 1. Blocked or clogged air intake valves can cause appliance overheating. Pull out the Mains plug when cleaning is required and remove dust and textile fibres from the air openings with a small brush or a vacuum cleaner. 2. The exterior surfaces of the appliance should only be cleaned off with a moist cloth and then wiped dry. 3. When cleaning of the round brush is required, release it from the appliance, let it cool and clean with a small brush or a dry cloth. WARNING NEVER pull the mains plug by the cord or allow the cord to become twisted. Never wind the cord around the appliance. The flexible cord holder may then be damaged, Causing cord breakage and short-circuiting. Check the cord often for possible damage. AT ONCE STOP USING the appliance if visible damage occurs or if the equipment stops functioning or functions off and on. STORAGE When not in use, the appliance should be disconnected from the mains and stored in a dry, safe place out of reach for children.
