The transceiver is compact and light, making it an ideal choice for your business needs. Note: Your local RadioShack store must send the transceiver to an authorized service facility to program the transceiver with a frequency. You must show your license to store personnel. 38 Quiet Tone CTCSS (Continuous Tone Control Squelch System) — helps reduce interference from other transceivers which are operating on the same frequency, in the same area. PLL-Controlled Circuitry — provides accurate and stable channel selection.
