REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL. A The lighting flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. A The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product. ■ FEATURES 1. A compact 19" rack mount type keyboard mixer with 8 input channels and 2 output channels. 2. Three-position (H/M/L) gain switches that permit mixing of the different levels from keyboards, drum machines, guitars, and vocals. (Channel 1 and 2 have a special microphone position.) 3. Two EFFECT loops, EFFECT1 and EFFECT2, for each channel. 4. PANPOT knob for each channel. 5. High signal-to-noise ratio (123 dB, IHF-A) to meet today's highest recording requirements. This LED lights when the power is on. These three-position switches allow you to adjust the channel gain to match the input level. The ones on channels 1 and 2 substitute a special microphone (MIC) position for the highest gain. These indicators warn when the input level exceeds the maximum. The gain switches can be used to eliminate clipping. These sliders control the volume for each channel. The normal position is "8". These knobs control the amount of each channel's signal which is sent to the EFFECT 1 mixing buss (Post-FADER). These knobs control the amount of each channel's signal which is sent to the EFFECT 2 mixing buss (Post-FADER). These knobs control the stereo balance for each channel. These sliders control the volume on the two output channels. These meters monitor the final output levels. This socket accepts a standard headphone jack. This knob controls the volume of the headphone output. This space is for affixing the gummed labels provided for indicating the sources for each channel. Note: Always use a lead pencil (grade "HB" or darker) or an oleaginous felt-tipped pen to write on the labels. To rewrite on a label, erase your previous entry with a rubber eraser. (Never use an aqueous felt-tipped pen to write on the labels.) Note: Before applying the labels, wipe the area with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dirt or moisture. ■ IMPORTANT NOTES • Always connect the mixer to the proper power supply. • Use separate circuits for equipment that consumes a lot of power or generates line noise. • Protect the mixer from dust, heat, humidity, and direct sunlight. • Turn all power switches off before connecting or disconnecting equipment. • Set the amplifier volume to its minimum setting before turning on the mixer. • Clean the mixer with a clean, dry cloth. • Do not use benzene, paint thinner, or other solvents. This terminal sends out signals passed through from 0, EFFECT 1 VOLUME. These terminals connect to the effector's OUT jacks. If the effector's output is monaural, connect it to the L/MONO terminal. This is an output terminal for O EFFECT 2 VOLUME. These PHONE jacks accept output from the effector's OUT jacks. These terminals send the mixer output to a power amplifier or other equipment.
