Saving Songs to CD-R/RW Discs You can save songs saved on internal hard drive of Roland VS series to CD-R/RW discs. Auditioning (Test Listening) Songs Written to CD-R/RW Discs You can play ordinary audio CD or the CD you created on CDR-88RW-4 and output through Roland VS series. The following jacks, knobs or button will not be used • Headphone jack • Volume Control knob • Play Button • Audio Output jacks . Writing Speed Writing speed to CD-R discs is limited to “x1” or “x4.” Writing speed to CD-RW discs is limited to “x2” or “x4.” . Reading Speed Even if the reading speed is set to “x4” or “x8,” the time it takes is not always 1/4 or 1/8 of the original. This is because writing speed to the internal hard disk or errors during disc reading. . Readable Format It is limited to “CD-ROM Mode-1” or “CD-DA.” . Recordable Format It is limited to “CD-ROM Mode-1” or “CD-DA.” . Recording Mode It is limited to “Track at Once” or “Disc at Once.” About the CDR-88RW-4’s SCSI Number Setting SCSI ID number of CDR-88RW-4 must be different from it of Roland VS series itself. The default SCSI ID number of CDR-88RW-4 is “4.” Check the software version of Roland VS series Check the software version of Roland VS series To connect CDR-88RW-4, the system software of VS series may need to be updated. Please check the software version which can be connected to CDR-88RW-4. In case update of software is necessary, consult with your retailer, the nearest Roland Service Center, or an authorized Roland distributor, as listed on the “Information” page.
