The KS531 is a 3-way amp/speaker designed especially for keyboard amplification, and delivers 100W RMS power output. Its built-in four-input mixer is ideal for use with today's multi-keyboard setups. In order to take full advantage of the KS531's features and enjoy long-lasting good performance, please read this manual carefully. Le KS531 est un amplificateur/enceinte à 3 voies conçu tout particulièrement pour servir d'amplificateur à un clavier. Il délivre une puissance de sortie de 100W efficaces (RMS). However, when laying the KS531 on its back, make sure there are no objects on the floor that might damage the amplifier. •The KS531 is designed to be used in an upright position to ensure good cooling. Operating it for more than an hour in a sideways position will cause it to overheat. • Do not expose the KS531 to direct sunlight or other sources of heat such as radiators, etc. Handling • Irreparable damage may result from opening the KS531 cabinet or attempting to alter the internal circuitry. If there is a problem, contact your nearest Yamaha dealer. • Avoid dropping your KS531 or subjecting it to any type of shock, as impaired performance may result. Connection • If you connect a KS531 input and an instrument output when the KS531 power is turned on, connect the instrument side first. Otherwise, a loud buzz or pop may result, damaging the speaker. Power • Before replacing the fuse, be sure to disconnect the AC cord from the outlet. Replace only with a fuse of the same type. •Check for correct voltage before connecting the power cord to your local AC outlet. Care •Do not attempt to clean the KS531 with benzine or other solvents, as these may cause discoloration or deformation of the cabinet. Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. • Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference, and refer to it frequently until you are fully familiar with your KS531.
