Please refer to your owners manual or contact the telephone manufacturer. Installing the Batteries IMPORTANT: The CLA7v2 needs to be disconnected from the telephone before installing the batteries. Open the battery compartment door 1. located on the back of your CLA7v2 by pulling back the latch. Insert correctly (2) AAA alkaline 2. batteries (included) in the battery compartment. Be sure to observe battery polarity as imprinted on the base of the compartment. Snap the battery compartment door 3. back in place. The CLA7v2 is ready to use.4. NOTE: The batteries will have approximately 30 to 40 hours of talk time before needing replacement. Battery life will depend on actual usage and amplified levels. Low Battery Indicator The low battery indicator monitors the condition of the batteries. This LED indicator will turn red to indicate the batteries should be changed. The indicator will only turn red while in use. Replace batteries as soon as possible with 2 AAA Alkaline batteries. Making And Receiving Calls Place the wire around your neck and insert 1. the round connector plug into the Neckloop Quick Disconnect plug, forming a loop. IMPORTANT: To have the Neckloop operate Properly, you will need to be sure the connection is double clicked. Depending on the type of device you are 2. connecting to, select the proper connectivity cord and connect the CLA7v2 end to the base of the CLA7v2 unit and the other end into the 2.5mm or 3.5mm jack on the device you are using. Switch your hearing aid to “T” or “MT” 3. mode. Press the “ON/OFF” button on the side of 4. the CLA7v2 the LED light will turn green indicating the neckloop is on. Use your telephone or other device in 5. the normal way (ie. making and receiving calls). See the phone’s owner’s manual for instruction. Since the CLA7v2 has a built in microphone, 6. you will not need to hold the phone to your ear, but can use it in conjunction with a belt clip. Simply keep the phone in your pocket or place it on a stable surface. During the call, you can adjust the volume 7. of the CLA7v2 by using the volume control knob located on the side of the unit. You can also manually adjust the volume 8. level on your phone if the sound quality is unsatisfactory. On completion of the call, press the ON/OFF 9. button and the LED will turn off indicating the neckloop is no longer in use. Reset your hearing aid if needed. 10.
