However, two keyboards or two mouse devices cannot be connected at the same time. Front/Right Side | Security Lock Use the anti-theft key to lock the connection between the computer and the port replicator. Lever Slide the lever to connect or disconnect the computer. Expansion Bus Connector This connects to the expansion bus connector on the back of the computer. When the port replicator is not connected to the computer, be sure that the lever for the expansion bus connector remains on the right side. 4 Connecting/Disconnecting Do not connect or disconnect the port replicator while the computer is powered on, or in the suspend or hibernation mode. Connecting y Power off the computer, and disconnect all cables from the computer. ^ Connect the plug of the AC adapter that came with the computer to the DC-IN jack of the port replicator and plug the other end into an AC outlet. • Be sure lo use the AC adapter. (The port replicator will not function using the computer's battery power.) • Do not use other than the specified AC adapter (Model No.: CF-AA1639) and AC cord. • Refer to the "Operating Instructions" that came with the computer for information on proper handling of the AC adapter and AC cord. Close the rear cover of the computer and the DC-1N jack cover firmly. Rear Cover DC-IN Jack Cover Open the expansion bus connector cover of the computer. Expansion Bus Connector Cover ^Confirm that the security lock is in position, slide the lever completely to the right side. Q Press down lightly on the rear corners of the computer onto the port replicator guide pins. Connecting/Disconnecting ^ Slide the lever to the "DOCK" position to connect the * expansion bus connector of the port replicator. (If necessary, lock the connection by the security lock key.) -s Be sure to slide the lever until it exceeds the mark of the "DOCK", as shown in the right figure, for proper docking. Г • Do not atlempt to make connections if there is any object between the computer and the port replicator. Doing so could damage the computer and the port replicator. • Do not atlempt to move the port replicator when it is connected to the computer. • If the computer malfunctions while the port replicator is attached, refer first to the "Troubleshooting" section of the computer's "Operating Instructions’1. If you still are unable to solve the problem, power off the computer, disconnect the port replicator, connect the AC adapter to the computer, and check to see if the computer operates normally. If the computer operates normally when the port replicator is not attached, the port replicator may be malfunctioning. Please contact Panasonic Technical Support. Input [c:\cabs], then press [OK], 6 At the [Configuration Setup], press [OK]. 7 [Select [Super VGA 1024 x 768) for [Models] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Display] - [Settings] - [Advanced Properties] - [Monitor] -[Change], then press [OK]. 8 Confirm that there is a check mark / for ( Automatically detect Plug & Play monitors] in [Options] for the [Monitor], and then press [Close]. 9 Set [High Color (16 bit)] for the |Color palette], set [800 by 600 pixels] for the [Desktop area] and then press [OK]. The display will ask you to restart Windows, press [No]. • If [Compatibility Warning] is displayed, select [Apply the settings without restarting?] and press [OK].
