Weather forecast and pressure trend GETTING STARTED INSERT BATTERIES (FIG. 3) Batteries serve as back up power supply. For continuous use of LCD backlight, always plug in the adapter. 1. Remove the battery compartment. 2. Insert the batteries, matching the polarities (+ / -). 3. Press RESET after each battery change. CLOCK CLOCK RECEPTION This product is designed to synchronize its clock automatically with a clock signal: • EU: DCF-77 signal: within 1500 km (932 miles) of Frankfurt, Germany. • UK: MSF-60 signal: within 1500 km (932 miles) of Anthorn, England. • US: WWVB-60 signal: within 3200km (2000 miles) of Fort Collins Colorado. Manually set clock to select time zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern). To manually activate / deactivate a clock signal: Press and hold . NOTE Reception takes 2-10 minutes. If the signal is weak, it can take up to 24 hours to get a valid signal. NOTE • To ensure good reception of clock signal, place the unit near a window and keep it away from metal surfaces and electrical appliances. • Do not operate the unit over a steel desk or metal surface, as this will interfere with clock signal reception. Clock signal reception indicator: GOOD SIGNAL WEAK SIGNAL MANUALLY SET CLOCK For BA200: 1. Press and hold . 2. Press or to change the settings. 3. Press to confirm. 4. The settings order is: hour, minute, second, year, month, date and time zone. The weekday will match automatically. NOTE • Time zone offset sets the clock +/- 12 hours from the received clock signal time. • Press to select 12 / 24 hour format. For BA200A: 1. Press to select time zone: (P) Pacific, (E) Eastern, (C) Central or (M) Mountain. 2. Press and hold . 3. Press or to change the settings. 4. Press to confirm. 5. The settings order is: D-T/S-T, 12/24 hr, hour, minute, second, year, month and date. The weekday will match automatically. NOTE “D-T” means Daylight Saving Time and “S-T” means Normal Time. ALARM To set the alarm: 1. Press and hold . 2. Press ( for US) or to set hour and minute. 3. Press to confirm. indicates alarm is activated. To toggle alarm and snooze On / Off: Press . indicates alarm is activated, whereas indicates snooze is activated. To silence the alarm: • Press to silence it for 5 minutes. will flash continuously. OR • Press any other key to turn the alarm off. PRESSURE To select barometer measurement unit: Press to toggle between mb/hPa and inHg. SET ALTITUDE Input the altitude of the location for an accurate pressure analysis. 1. Press and hold . 2. Use or to set the altitude in 10 m (30 ft) increments from -300 m (-900 ft) to 1200 m (3600 ft). 3. Press to confirm. PRESSURE TREND RISE STEADY FALL NOTE After inserting the batteries or resetting the unit, please allow 12 hours for the unit to record the incoming air pressure data for calculating and analysing the weather forecast. WEATHER FORECAST This product forecasts the next 12 to 24 hours of weather within a 30-50 km (19-31 mile) radius. Sunny Partially cloudy Cloudy Rainy Stormy TEMPERATURE To toggle temperature unit: Press . BACKLIGHT Press to activate the backlight for a few seconds. NOTE The backlight will always be turned on when the power adapter is used (OPTIONAL). RESET Press the RESET hole at the back of the unit to return to the default settings. PRECAUTIONS • Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity. • Do not cover the ventilation holes with any items such as newspapers, curtains etc. • Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. • Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials. • Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components.
