Do not use the radio receiver in bathrooms, near cookers, the heating equipment and avoid hit of direct solar beams. 2 Power supply Battery operation • Open the battery compartment cover. • Insert 3 batteries (UM-1). Please observe correct battery polarities or the set will not work. • Close the battery compartment cover. • When the batteries are exhausted, they should be removed from the set to prevent leakage. AC operation • The appliance is for household use only. • Before the first connecting of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds the mains voltage in your home. • Insert the plug into the power supply. Radio operation • Select your desired broadcasting band with Band switch. • Rotate the Tuning control regulator to receive the desired broadcast. • The Tuning Indicator will light up when the correct station is received and the station signal is sufficiently strong. • Adjust the level of sound with Volume control regulator. • If you want to turn on the radio or make the volume louder, turn the Power switch/Volume control clockwise. If you want to turn off the radio or make the volume lower, turn the Power switch/Volume control counter-clockwise. Antenna • For FM or SW reception, use the telescopic antenna. Pull out the antenna and change its length and angle for the best reception. • The MW antenna is magnetic bar within the system. The set should be placed to a position for the best reception. Connections_ Stereo headphone connecting • For private listening radio, insert 3.5 mm headphone into the stereo headphone jack. • Adjust volume control to the appropriate level as desired. • When the stereo headphone jack is plugged, speakers will disconnect automatically. Maintenance and care_ • Check your batteries regularly, old or discharged batteries should be replaced.
