2 New and changed features in this release
2.1 New features
The following feature is new with this version of 10GigEthr-03:
•
Support is added for vPARS version 6.0.
The iocxgbe driver is enhanced to support vPARS version 6.0. To use vPARS 6.0 with cards
supported by the iocxgbe driver, version B.11.31.1111 or later of the 10GigEthr-03 bundle
is required.
•
ServiceGuard support is enabled for NC552m.
ServiceGuard support is enabled for the NC552m adapter in this release.
NOTE:
Effective with version B.11.31.1111, ServiceGuard is now supported with all adapters
that use the iocxgbe driver.
2.2 Changed features
There are no changed features included in 10GigEthr-03 at the time of this publication.

There are no defects or fixes included in 10GigEthr-03 version B.11.31.1111 at the time of this
publication.

4 Known problems and limitations
The following problems are known to exist in version B.11.31.1111:
•
Problems occur when using SNAP (Sub-Network Access Protocol) encapsulation with VLANs.

Severity: Medium
SNAP encapsulation enables protocols such as TCP/IP to use an IEEE802.3 SNAP header.
This protocol works correctly for non-VLAN devices. For VLAN devices, when a minimum size
SNAP packet is received and the VLAN tag is removed, the device incorrectly flags the packet
as undersized and discards it.
Workaround: None. This problem might be corrected in a future release of the 10GigEthr-03
bundle.
•
Multi-queue operation is not available on all functions.
