Safeguard them for future reference. • Only connect it to the voltage stated on the characteristics plate. • Do not let children use the appliance unattended. • Always use the juice extractor on a level surface. • Never insert utensils inside the container while the appliance is operating. • Do not operate the appliance with the cable still coiled. • Do not use wet hands or tug on the cable to unplug it. • Do not leave the plug hanging freely. • Do not leave the appliance close to heat sources or allow the cable to come into contact with hot surfaces. • Unplug it from the wall socket when it is not in use and before cleaning it. • DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING, CABLE OR PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. • Do not switch the juice extractor on if either the cable or plug are damaged, if it can be detected that it is not operating correctly or if it has suffered any type of damage. • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only. • The mains cable must not be replaced by the user. Cable repairs and replacements must be carried out exclusively by an Authorised Technical Service Centre. • This appliance is suitable for use with foodstuffs. • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. USE Before using it for the first time, wash all the pieces which are going to come into contact with foodstuffs in soapy water. 1. Place the drive shaft coupling onto the drive shaft. 2. Place the base of the filter onto the motor housing. 3. Fit the filter. 4. Fit the most appropriate cone onto the filter: If the fruit is small (lemons, small oranges, etc.) use the small cone. If the fruit is large (grapefruit, large oranges, etc.) or if you want pulp in the juice then place the large cone over the small one. (Fig. 1) 5. Unwind the cable fully and plug the juice extractor into the mains supply. 6. Place a glass below the juice outlet spout and press the spout down Into the “open” position to allow the juice to come out. (Fig. 2). When you have finished you can lift the spout back up into the closed position to prevent it from dripping. During extraction the spout should be in the open position to prevent it from overflowing. 7. Cut the fruit in half. Place each half on top of the cone and press gently. The juice extractor will start automatically (Fig.. 3). Do not press too hard on the fruit as this will stop it from rotating. 1. To stop the juice extractor just stop pressing on the fruit. When the juice has been extracted, close the pouring spout and unplug the appliance. (Fig. 4). CLEANING Clean the juice extractor after each use. Check that the appliance is switched off and unplugged from the mains. Remove all the pieces from the juice extractor and wash them, with the exception of the motor, in soapy water. Dry all the pieces thoroughly before refitting them. Do not wash any of the parts in the dishwasher. Wipe down the motor housing with a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid. Do not use detergents or abrasive cleaning...
