Satellite Dish Antenna Connection Connect the cable coming from the DIRECTV satellite dish to the Satellite In jack on the Digital Satellite Receiver. Note: With this receiver and the proper satellite dish antenna, you may be able to subscribe to local channels from DIRECTV in certain markets. Additional equipment may be required in some areas. Check withyourretailerorvisit DIRECTV.com for information on availability of local channels fromDIRECTV in your area. 8 IMPORTANTNOTES Antenna/Cable Connection A terrestrial antenna or cable antenna may be connected to the VHF/UHF IN jack of the Digital Satellite Receiver. This input works as a passthrough. The VHF/UHF channels can be passed through either by toggling TV/SAT button on remote control or by turning the Digital Satellite Receiver off. The RF output (VHF (SAT) UHF OUT) of the Digital Satellite Receiver must be connected to the television. Antenna Connection For proper reception of VHF/UHF channels, a directional antenna is required. For best reception, an outdoor antenna is recommended. Procedure • Connect the antenna cable from your antenna to the VHF/UHF IN jack of the Digital Satellite Receiver.
