If the temperature falls momentarily during use, the appliance will heat back up again (LED lashes). NOTE: If you switch the appliance off and then on again, the temperature defaults to the factory setting (approx. 150°C). CURLING FUNCTION (Figs. A-B) The appliance must be closed and locked. Comb the hair and section it into even strands (about 2-3 cm wide). The iner the strands, the tighter the curl, as all the hair comes into contact with the heated curling tongs. Open the curling tongs by pressing on the clip. Insert the strand of hair and close the clip again. Now pull the curling tongs down to the ends of the hair and turn to wind up the strand. Leave the curling tongs in the hair for a few seconds to shape the curl. Release the strand of hair by repeatedly opening the lever with small movements while removing the curling tongs sideway. NOTE: Make sure that the curl is not pulled straight when removing the curling tongs. Tip: Allow hair to cool completely before styling. Give your hair extra volume by running your ingers through the curls. STRAIGHTENING FUNCTION (Figs. C-D) Heat treatment should only be applied to healthy hair. It is not recommended for weak hair or hair that has been recently bleached, as this may have weakened it. Use the hair straightener only on dry hair. The appliance is suitable for both long and short hair. Unlock the two heating plates by setting the slide button g to . Comb the hair and section it into even strands (about 5 cm wide). Starting from the roots, place a strand of hair between the plates. (Fig. C) Press the plates together using the inger protectors f and pull down gently and evenly toward the ends of the hair. (Fig. D) Treat all strands in the same manner. Allow hair to cool completely before styling. NOTE: Never leave in one place longer than 2 seconds. AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF The curling tong with hair straightener has an automatic switch off safety feature. After approx. 30 minutes the appliance automatically switches to standby mode, only the third LED glows. To reactivate the appliance, you can press the + or - button. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Once you have inished, switch off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool down. Make sure that the plates are completely cold before cleaning the appliance. Wipe the outer casing down with a dry cloth. The plates can be cleaned with a slightly dampened cloth to remove the remains of any hairdressing products. Never immerse the appliance into water. Do not use a steam cleaner. Use the Lock/Unlock to close two plates. Do not store the appliance away if it is still hot. ADVICE ON DISPOSAL: Our goods come in optimised packaging. Your local town council can provide you with information about how to dispose of obsolete appliances.
