Safe Practices For Occupation And Educational Eye And Face Protection, norme ANSI Z87.1, de l’American National Standards Institute, 1430 Broadway, New York, NY 10018. If unit overheats, thermostat(s) opens, output stops, and cooling fan runs. Wait fifteen minutes for unit to cool. Reduce amperage or duty cycle before cutting. Exceeding duty cycle can damage unit and void warranty. 60% Duty Cycle Overheating 0 15 A OR Reduce Duty CycleMinutes duty1 4/95 OM-279 Page 9 OM-279 Page 10 2-4. Cutting Speed The cutting speed curve shows the recommended maximum cutting speed capabilities of the power source and torch for mild steel of various thickness. Exceeding recommended cutting speeds will cause rapid erosion of the tip and electrode. ST-180 909 Cutting speed is approximately 10 inches per minute at 0.7 in mild steel thickness at max setting/ tip saver mode. 2-5. Selecting A Location 1 Handle Use handle to roll unit short distances. 2 Lifting Eye 3 Lifting Forks Use lifting eye or lifting forks to move unit. If using lifting forks, extend forks beyond opposite side of unit. 4 Rating Label (Under Access Door) Use rating label to determine input power needs. 5 Line Disconnect Device Locate unit near correct input power supply. Special installation may be required where gasoline or volatile liquids are present – see NEC Article 511 or CEC Section 20. OR 2 3 Movement ST-800 402 / Ref.
