See the “Record On a Tape” section on page 18. When purchasing or renting prerecorded tapes, remember that only those recorded in Hi-Fi stereo will play back with true stereo sound. Standard stereo tapes will play back with monaural sound. In order to listen to Hi-Fi stereo playback, the Combination VCR AUDIO (L/R) jacks must be connected to a stereo amp and speakers. Cleaning the Heads It is recommended that head cleaning be performed by a qualified service technician. Please contact your nearest Panasonic Service Center. An alternate solution is to obtain a head cleaning cassette. Be sure to follow the cleaning instructions carefully. Excessive use of a cleaning cassette could shorten head life.
