adjusting the audio functions You can adjust the audio settings for any A/V Memory position using the MENU or AUDIO buttons on the remote control. access with the MENU button 0 Press the MENU button on the remote control. Using the Advanced Features Setting the timer This special feature allows you to program the TV to turn on automatically at a time that you set. If you do not press any function buttons for about 5 minutes, the TV will automatically turn off. Press a function button (such as the display button) to keep the TV on and turn off the flashing display. 72 Chapter 3: Operating Your TV Using the parental lock This special feature allows you to lock the entire TV during a certain time period or lock up to ten individual channels. (You cannot lock the TV and lock individual channels at the same time.) When you turn on the lock, you enter a 4-digit secret code that will allow you to turn off the lock later. If you try to turn on a locked TV, view a locked channe|, or the locking "time period" begins, you will see a message asking you to enter the secret code. If you don't enter the code within five minutes, the TV will turn off or tune to an unlocked channel. If you enter the secret code, the message will disappear and the lock will be turned off temporarily. However the TV or channels will be locked again after you turn off the TV. This will continue until you turn the lock off permanently.
