Follow all local electrical codes during installation. All wiring must conform to local and national electrical codes. Improper wiring or installation may damage thermostat. Recognize safety information. This is the safety-alert symbol . When you see this symbol on the equipment and in the instruction manual, be alert to the potential for personal injury. Understand the signal words DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION. These words are used with the safety-alert symbol. DANGER identifies the most seriou

GENERAL Bryant’s 7-day, commercial, programmable thermostats are wall-mounted, low-voltage thermostats which maintain room temperature by controlling the operation of an HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system. Separate heating and cooling set points and auto-changeover capability allow occupied and unoccupied programming schedules for energy savings. All thermostats allow up to 4 time and temperature settings to be programmed per 24-hr period. Each thermostat stores programs fo
DISCONNECT POWER TO THE HEATER - AIR CONDITIONER BEFORE REMOVING THE OLD THERMOSTAT AND INSTALLING WARNING THE NEW THERMOSTAT. CAUTION The 2 Alkaline “AA” batteries must be replaced at least every 12 months to assure proper operation. The thermostat will display the Low Battery code (fig. 1) on the display of the thermostat when it is time to replace the batteries. FIG. 1 When is displayed the batteries must be replaced immediately. The manufacturer cannot be liable for improper operation of the

This is done by allowing one setting to “push” the other, to maintain this difference. Auto Changeover When the auto changeover mode is selected, a change from heat to cool (or vice versa) will not occur until an opposite mode demand has existed for 20 minutes. If the setpoint is changed, the 20 minute requirement is deleted. Auto mode may be disabled. Emergency Heat Mode When thermostat is configured as a heat pump and emergency heat mode is selected, all Y signals are locked out and W becomes
Route wires through large hole in Equipment Control Module. Level Equipment Control Module against wall (for aesthetic value only . Equipment Control Module need not be leveled for proper operation) and mark wall through 4 mounting holes. To avoid unintended bending of wall plate plastic, use all 4 screws and anchors. 2. Drill four 3/16.in. mounting holes in wall where marked. Thermostat may be mounted to a standard junction box if desired. Hole pattern on Equipment Control Module matches juncti
CAUTION is used to identify unsafe practices which may result in minor personal injury or product and property damage. NOTE is used to highlight suggestions which will result in enhanced installation, reliability, or operation. INTRODUCTION The Legacy Line--RNC Series thermostat is an electronic 24VAC, non- --programmable, manual changeover wall mount thermostat. This thermostat uses a single setpoint to maintain and control room temperature in both the heating and air conditioning modes. The th
IX. LIGHT SENSOR ADJUSTMENT The light sensor is used for light-activated operation. The sensor can be adjusted for a variable degree of sensitivity. The sensitivity adjustment screw is located on the inner cover of the thermostat, near the DOWN ARROW button. Turning the screw clockwise increases the sensitivity of the sensor to light. Turning the screw counterclockwise decreases the sensitivity of the sensor to light. To check for correct sensitivity, place the thermostat in Program On mode. The
