1 Overview of HP 3PAR InForm OS
This release notes document describes the modifications and known issues for Patch 15. The
application of this patch is intended for HP 3PAR InForm OS 3.1.1.226 or 3.1.1.342. Only an
authorized HP Service provider should perform this maintenance procedure.
Supported platforms
The HP 3PAR Configuration Matrix for InForm OS 3.1.1 contains information about supported
hardware and software platforms. For additional information, go to the Single Point of Connectivity
Knowledge for HP Storage Products (SPOCK) website: http://www.hp.com/storage/spock.
Verifying the patch installation
The installation of Patch 15 can be verified from an Interactive CLI session. Issue the CLI command
showversion -a -b to verify that Patch 15 is listed.

Modifications to the InForm OS
The purpose of this firmware patch is to provide support for:
•
300 GB (SEGLE0300GBFC15K) drives, 450 GB (SEGLE0450GBFC15K) drives, and 1 TB
(SMSKP0001TBAT07K) drives on F class and T class systems
After successful installation of this patch, an older 300 GB (ST3300656FC) or 450 GB
(ST3450856FC) drive can be replaced with 300 GB (SEGLE0300GBFC15K) or 450 GB
(SEGLE0450GBFC15K) drive and 1 TB (ST31000340NS) drive can be replaced with 1 TB
(SMSKP0001TBAT07K) drive in case of a failure of an older drive.
