There Elements will cycle on and off by the its own temperature limiters. Temperature limiters Each radiant heaters has its own sensor to protect the glass cooking surface from extreme high temperatures. The limiter will operate automatically by cycling the element the cycles as defined by knob setting (HI-LO) DUAL RADIANT ELEMENT The dual element consist of two radiant ribbon elements within the same heating area. Either the small (inner element) or both (inner and outer) elements may be selected for use. There are an infinite number of heat setting between the LO and HI position. Fixed position are found at LO and HI to define minimum and maximum heat setting. To turn ON the inner element, push down on the control knob and turn it counter clockwise following the single line graphics. To turn ON both inner and outer elements together, push down on the control knob and turn clockwise following the double graphics line. Setting Recommended Use All these settings are recommended without the element being preheated, a range of heat settings are listed because the actual setting depend on: • Type and quality of pan • Type, quantity and temperature of the food • Element used and cook’s preferences TYPE OF FOOD HEAT SETTINGS RADIANT ELEMENTS Energy regulator Touch control Melting butter, chocolate LO (1) Delicate sauce, rice, simmering sauces with butter and egg yolk LO to Medium (3) Cooking vegetables, fish broths, eggs -fried or scrambled-, finishing cereals, pasta, milk, pancakes, pudding, simmering meats, steaming vegetables, pop corn, bacon, stewing meet soup, sau-teed vegetables, spaghetti sauces Medium (5) Braising meet, pan frying meet, fish, eggs, stir frying, quickly brown or sear meats, hold rapid boil Medium to HI (7) Boiling water for vegetables, pasta HI (9) Use & Care Manual Models ECCB / TCCB ENGLISH TCCB MODELS When cooktop is connected to the electrical supply all led1 s and digit are lighting to indicate the software version and proper activation. This operation will turn off automatically after few second . Now the control will be ready for the element operations. Elements setting Tap "ON/OFF" key: (position 1). Light indication Position 12 alt horizontal digit segments light for 10" (max. time for element setting). Element selection Tap "ON/OFF" key: (position 4-7). Light indication Position 12 the digit segment of the element setting will show "0". Element power selection Tap "-" or "+" key: (position 10-11). Light indication Position 12 the digit segment of the element setting will show the power selected from "0 to 9". The element will come on a setting of "4-5" and may be adjusted up or down by pressing the appropriate key. To turn an element OFF tap the ON/ OFF key (position4) or "-" and "+" key together. You may turn OFF all active elements at the same time by tapping ON/OFF key (position 1). Dual element activation The dual element consist of two radiant ribbon elements within the same heating area. Either the small (inner element) or both (inner and outer) elements may be selected for use tap the "ON/OFF" key (position 4) then tap the dual element key (position 8 or 13) to activate the outer ring of the element. t will come on and may be adjusted up or down by tapping the appropriate key"-"or"+" (position 10-11). Light indication Position 9 the led light will show the second zone activation. Position 12 power selected "0 to 9". Hot surface indicator light Each element has a hot indicator light to show when the cooking area is hot. To turn the element OFF, the signal light appear automatically showing "H" on the digit of the element selected. The light ("H") remains ON until the cooking area has cooled to a safe to touch temperature (approximately 150°F). If a hot surface light is ON use caution when working around the cooktop as the cooktop is still hot.
