The SH-L35W is an LCD Hood made especially for the HDR-FX7 Sony digital HD video camera recorder (referred to below as “camera”). Features • This LCD Hood improves the visibility of the LCD screen when recording outdoors, for example, by preventing unwanted light or reflection from shining onto the LCD screen. •Easy attachment and removal of the LCD Hood support speedy recording. • You can close the hood part with the LCD Hood attached, and rotate and store the LCD screen into the camera (illustration A). Identifying the parts B 1 Hook 2 Movable hook 3 Hood part 4 Frame Attaching the LCD Hood C 1 Open the LCD screen of the camera and tilt it at a slight angle (1) . 2 Align the LCD Hood frame with the LCD screen frame (the support side) (2) and then fit the base of the movable hook to the bottom edge of the LCD screen frame (3). 3 While holding the top edge of the LCD screen frame (4), press the bottom edge of the LCD Hood frame and slide it upward (5), and fit the hook to the LCD screen frame (6). Note When the LCD Hood is attached, make sure the LCD Hood frame does not come loose and let light in. Opening and closing the hood part D Open the hood part as shown in illustration. Close the hood part in the reverse way. There is a magnet inside the hood part. When opening or closing the hood part, keep the magnet aligned with the metallic part of the LCD Hood frame. Removing the LCD Hood E While holding the top edge of the LCD screen frame (1), press the bottom edge of the LCD Hood frame and slide it upward (2), and detach the hook from the LCD screen frame (3). Notes on use • When attaching or removing the LCD Hood, keep holding the LCD screen frame but without excessive force. • Do not hold the camera only by the LCD Hood when it is attached.
