The USB equipment operates with the driver installed as standard in the OS. If the country or region cannot be selected, select [NTSC Area]. . When the confirmation message appears, click [Yes]. 6 Select where the application is to be installed, then click [Next]. 7 Select [Yes] or [No] to create shortcut. . A message regarding the playback in the environment used may be displayed depending on the performance of the PC used. Click [OK] after confirming. Uninstalling HD Writer XE 1.0 Follow the steps below to uninstall any software applications that you no longer require. 1 Select [Start] # [Control Panel] # [Uninstall a program]. 2 Select [HD Writer XE 1.0], then click [Uninstall]. . Connect this unit to the PC after the software applications are installed. . Remove the supplied CD-ROM from your PC. A USB cable (supplied) . Insert the plugs as far as they will go. . Insert the SD card. 1 Connect this unit to the AC adaptor. . Use the AC adaptor to free you from worrying about the battery running down. 2 Turn on the unit. . This function is available in all modes. 3 Connect this unit to a PC. . The USB function selection screen will appear on the screen of the unit. 4 Touch [PC] on the screen of this unit. . The Smart Wizard Screen is automatically displayed when HD Writer XE 1.0 is installed. . This unit is automatically recognized as an external drive of the PC. (l103) . When you select an option other than [PC], reconnect the USB cable. . When using the battery, the LCD monitor turns off after about 5 seconds. Touch the screen to turn the LCD monitor on. . When using an SDXC Memory Card, check the following support site. . To disconnect USB cable safely Select the icon in task tray displayed on the PC, and then click [Eject Panasonic Camcorder]. . Do not disconnect the USB cable, battery, or AC adaptor while the access lamp is on or card access icon ( ) appears on the unit screen. . If the screen does not change when the unit is operated while connected to a PC, disconnect the battery and/or AC adaptor, wait approximately 1 minute, reconnect the battery and/or AC adaptor, wait approximately 1 minute again, and then turn the unit back on.
