The “HDR” indication is displayed continuously for the time modes that support high-density recording. Using HDR mode results in recording intervals approximately one-third the size of those in the corresponding recording time mode. STOP: The auto rewind function is released. The VTR is set to the stop mode at the tape-end. CONTINUE: The auto rewind function is not released. (TAPE END) ALARM IN Selection of cassette EJECT button Select the operation which is to be performed when the EJECT button is pressed. EJECT: The cassette is ejected as soon as the button is pressed. REW-» EJECT: When the button is pressed, the tape is automatically rewound to its start before the cassette is ejected. NOTES [Note 1] The VTR’s time (hour) modes are based on the use of a 2-hour tape. If the cassette used has a different duration, the hour modes will be as follows: • 90-minute tape: 3/4 of selected time • 60-minute tape: 1/2 of selected time • 30-minute tape: 1/4 of selected time [Note 2] Linear slow recording With this kind of recording, the tape travel speed is reduced and the sound is recorded continuously. (Sound can be recorded.) Time lapse recording Long-duration recording is possible by recording while advancing the tape intermittently. (Sound cannot be recorded.)
