Open the menu and select [\ PRINT]. • The print setting menu appears. • “SET PRINT ORDER” appears, when you connect a printer with direct print function and select [\ PRINT] without having set the print order. 3. Make sure that [PRINT] is selected and press the SET dial. Printing starts. The print setting menu disappears when printing is complete. . Depending on the connected printer, you can select style or paper settings before step 3. . Cancel Printing/Printing Errors ( 124) . Restarting Printing Open the CARD PLAY menu and select [\ PRINT]. Select [RESUME] in the print setting menu and press the SET dial. The remaining images will be printed. Printing cannot be restarted in the following cases: -When you change the print order settings. -When you delete a still image with print order settings. E Transferring Memory Card Images to a Computer With the supplied USB cable and Digital Video Software, you can browse and archive images or arrange still images for printout. For details, refer to the Digital Video Software Instruction Manual. Users of Windows OS can also transfer images to the computer by simply pressing the (print/share) button ( 135). . Do not disconnect the USB cable, open the memory card cover, remove the memory card, change the position of the TAPE/CARD switch or turn off the camcorder and computer while data is being transferred to the computer (while the camcorder's card access indicator is flashing). Doing so may damage the memory card’s data. . Operation may not work correctly depending on the software and the specifications/settings of your computer. . The image files on your memory card and the image files saved on the hard disk drive of your computer are valuable, original data files. If you wish to use image files on your computer, make copies of them first, and use the copied file, retaining the original. . Make sure that camcorder and computer are not connected with a DV cable before connecting the camcorder to the computer using the USB cable. Otherwise, the computer may not operate properly. . We recommend powering the camcorder from a household power source while it is connected to the computer. . Refer also to the computer instruction manual. . Users of Windows XP and Mac OS X: Your camcorder is equipped with the standard Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) allowing you to download still images (JPEG only) by simply connecting the camcorder to a computer via USB cable without installing the software from the DIGITAL VIDEO SOLUTION DISK. With the MVX35i, make sure that [ CONNECT] is set to [STANDARD] to use the PTP function ( 134). Transferring 133 Selecting the USB Connection Mode You can choose between [STANDARD] and [STORAGE] mode when connecting the camcorder to a computer using the USB cable. STANDARD STORAGE The camcorder automatically selects the correct mode for downloading still images or MPEG-4 movies to the computer. When downloading or printing still images, set the camcorder to still image playback mode and connect it to a computer or a printer. When downloading movies, set the camcorder to movie playback mode and connect it to a computer. We recommend setting the USB connection mode to [STANDARD]. When the camcorder is set to [STORAGE], it will be recognized as [Removable Disk] (USB mass storage device) by the computer. You can use the camcorder like a card reader/writer and download/upload still images and movies to/from the computer without installing the provided software. Still Images are saved in the [***CANON] folder of the [DCIM] folder, and movies are saved in the [PRL***] folder of the [SD_VIDEO] folder. PLAY (VCR) CAMERA CARD PLAY CARD CAMERA ( 35) CONNECT••STANDARDSYSTEM Open the menu and select [SYSTEM]. Select [ CONNECT], set it to [STORAGE] and close the menu. Do not connect the camcorder to a printer when [ CONNECT] is set to [STORAGE], or in movie playback mode even when [ CONNECT] is set to [STANDARD] mode. . Users of Windows 98 must install the DVC Storage Driver from the DIGITAL VIDEO SOLUTION DISK For Windows when downloading movies to a computer in [STANDARD] mode or when you have set the camcorder to [STORAGE] mode. With Windows Me/Windows 2000/Windows XP and Mac OS 9 or later, an OS standard driver will be installed automatically.
