Using black and white infrared film with a different sensitivity may require a slightly different setting. When attaching or detaching the hood, grasp the base of the hood to turn it. To prevent deformation, do not grasp the rim of the hood to turn it. Though there is no red dot on the hood for the EF50mm f/1.4 USM (ES-71II), the attachment procedure is the same. • Part of the picture may be blocked if the hood is not attached properly. • The hood can be reverse-mounted on the lens for storage.
