• Follow the instructions in "For Safe Operation" to avoid kickback of the saw. Before starting work, check the direction of bending force inside the log to be cut. Always finish cutting from the opposite side of bending direction to prevent the guide bar from being caught in the cut. WARNING WARNING Francais Espanol Francais Espanol 9. Determiner le sens dans lequel I’arbre doit choir, compte tenu du vent, de l’inclinaison du tronc, de la disposition des branches les plus lourdes, de la commodite des travaux apres abattage, etc. 2. Nettoyer la zone de travail autour de l’arbre. Prevoir une voie de retraite pour le moment ou l’arbre va choir et bien se caler les pieds pour assurer sa posture. 3. Du cote ou l’arbre doit choir, pratiquer une entaille d’abattage d’une profondeur du tiers du diametre de l’arbre. 4. Faire ensuite une coupe horizontale de l’autre cote, legerement plus haut que le fond de l’entaille d’abattage. AVERTISSEMENT Avant d’abattre un arbre, faire evacuer toutes les personnes presentes et surveiller la zone de travail. Ne pas monter sur le tronc. • Prendre garde au fait que le tronc risque de se retourner ou de rouler. Si le terrain est en pente, toujours se tenir plus haut que le tronc sur la pente. • Pour eviter le rebond de la tronconneuse, respecter les consignes du chapitre “Pour la securite”. Avant de couper une branche ou un tronc en flexion, observer le sens de la flexion et finir la coupe a l’oppose du cote en flexion pour eviter que le guidechaine ne soit coince dans la coupe. ¦ TALADO DE ARBOLES (F17) 1. Decida la direccion en la cual hara caer el arbol, teniendo en cuenta la direccion del viento, la inclinacion del arbol, la ubicacion de ramas pesadas, la facilidad de las tareas una vez caido el arbol y cualquier otro factor relacionado. 2. Limpie el area circundante y verifique que tenga un buen apoyo para los pies y una segura via de escape. 3. Haga una muesca hasta un tercio del diametro del tronco del arbol en el lado de talado. 4. Haga un corte de talado en el lado opuesto al de la muesca, a un nivel ligeramente superior al de la parte inferior de la muesca. ADVERTENCIA Antes de talar un arbol, asegurese de advertir a los demas trabajadores del peligro. Nunca trabaje estando parado sobre el tronco. • Tenga especial cuidado al efectuar estos trabajos, ya que el tronco puede rodar hacia un lado. Al trabajar en una pendiente, ubiquese mas arriba que el tronco. • Siga las instrucciones dadas en la seccion “Para una operacion segura” para evitar el riesgo de contragolpes de la motosierra. Antes de comenzar los trabajos, verifique la direccion de la fuerza de doblado en el interior del tronco a cortar. Termine el corte siempre en el lado opuesto a la direccion de la fuerza de doblado para evitar que la barra guia quede atrapada en el corte. 40 9. A Log hanging off the ground (F19) In area A, saw up from the bottom one-third and finish by sawing down from the top. In area B, saw down from the top one-third and finish by sawing up from the bottom. Cutting Limb of Fallen Tree (F20) First check to which side the limb is bent. Then make the initial cut from the bent side and finish by sawing from the opposite side. Be alert to the springing back of a cut limb. Pruning of Standing Tree (F21) Cut up from the bottom, finish down from the top. • Do not use an unstable foothold or ladder. • Do not overreach. • Do not cut above shoulder height. •Always use your both hands to grip the saw.
