Fig 1 and Fig 2 DRYING 1-2 STYLING 1-2 SETTING 1-2 ION FUNCTION (Mod. SC8379/SC8389) This hair dryer features an ion generator. Ions are naturally occurring electrically charged particles. These make hair softer and easier to comb. “Flying” hair is also reduced. If you switch the hair dryer on (the ion indication light comes on) the ion function is active. Fig 4. COOL SHOT BUTTON The cool shot button is ideal for styling and fixing the hair after drying. It can be switched on at any setting. You may have to wait a few seconds after pressing the button for cool air. When the button is released the hair dryer will return to its normal operation. Fig 3. STORAGE The hanging loop allows hanging up the appliance for storage. Do not wind up the power cord too tight! MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning and storing. Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the mains plug. Let the hair dryer and the accessories cool down. Never immerse the appliance into water. Do not use a steam cleaner. The hair dryer does not need any special attention and it is sufficient to periodically wipe the outside cover with a damp cloth. Turn the air inlet grille counterclockwise to remove it for cleaning. Fig 5. Use a soft paint brush for cleaning. Hand wash the nozzle, diffuser, and air inlet grille in warm water, rinse and air dry. Turn the air inlet grille clockwise to lock it in place. Fig 6.
