These release notes describe the modifications and known issues for Patch 91 (P91). The application
of this patch is intended for HP 3PAR InForm OS 3.1.1.226. Patch 91 adjusts a drive magazine bridge
to the proper setting for the HP P10000 3PAR Storage System. The patch must be applied during a
drive magazine FRU replacement. Only an authorized HP Service provider should perform this
maintenance procedure.

The HP 3PAR Configuration Matrix for InForm OS 3.1.1 contains information about supported hardware
and software platforms.

1.2 Verifying the Patch Installation
The installation of Patch 91 can be verified from an Interactive CLI session through the SPMAINT main
menu. Issue the CLI command showversion -a -b to see Patch 91 listed.

This utility patch must be applied each time during a replacement of a NL drive magazine.

With these restarts, expected behaviors such as events and alerts may generate. The system will
continue to serve data but existing CLI or IMC sessions may be interrupted.

An HP P10000 3PAR Storage System cannot use the current T-Class drive
magazine FRUs used between magazine FRU as a replacement. The P10000 requires a specific setting for
T-Class and HP P10000 3PAR the hard drives on a DC4 NL-SATA drive magazine to function properly.
