This release notes document describe the modifications and known issues for Patch 16 (P16). The
application of this patch is intended for HP 3PAR InForm OS 3.1.1.342 (MU1).
The purpose of this patch is to resolve issues encountered during Common Criteria evaluation. This
patch generates an event log that includes the failed login attempt by the user trying to login to CLI or
IMC clients. The SSL libraries in use on the system are updated to address security issues.
1.1 Supported platforms
The HP 3PAR Configuration Matrix for InForm OS 3.1.1 contains information about supported hardware

1.2 Verifying the patch installation
The installation of Patch 16 can be verified from an Interactive CLI session. Issue the CLI command
showversion -a -b to verify that Patch 16 is listed.

attempts recorded in the event Authentication Failure message. In addition, event debug capabilities via

Reading or accessing the audit log is, itself, an audited event. Hence, invoking
requests.
showeventlog either implicitly or explicitly now adds a getevenlog entry in
the event log.
