Pre-installation inspection of HP EML Tape
Instructions
Library Robot Spare
This document is for spare part numbers 375820-001,
409863-001, and 459863-001.
The following inspections and corrections should be
performed PRIOR to robot installation in the library:
•
Preparing the robot — inspect and ensure robot
is ready for installation
•
Motor Connector — inspect and seat connector
completely
The following inspections and connections should be
performed AFTER the robot installation in the library:
•
Tray — inspect for jammed condition and un-jam
if necessary
•
Robot initialization failure — inspect and ensure
ribbon cable is not binding
1.
Locate the motor/encoder on the robot.
2.
Make sure the connector is fully seated.
Preparing the robot
1.
Remove the two metal shipping straps.
2.
Pull up on the yellow gear lock to disengage it.
3.
Push on the latch and release.

Make sure the ribbon cable is tucked up inside
the robot chassis so it does not get pinched.
