Deburr suction line before fitting new tubing in. 11. Braze all tubing into place. Purge system with nitrogen during all brazing operations on the ice machine. NOTE: IF REPLACING COMPRESSOR INTO A REMOTE ICE MACHINE, MAKE SURE TO FIRST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS A, B, AND C BELOW, BEFORE PROCEEDING TO INSTRUCTION #10. A. Replace elbow with “T” fitting. 12. Use electrical tape to seal suction line insulation. B. Replace HPR valve and L-shaped tube that was removed earlier. Adjust to fit without ru
This pump will fit most Manitowoc ice machines. The discharge port located on the base of the water pump can be rotated, if necessary, for proper positioning in the ice machine. If it is required to rotate the water pump, remove the three machine screws from the pump, turn the base to the desired position, and reinsert the screws. The positioning holes are spaced every 60° in the water pump. When installing this water pump, remove the water flow clamp from all ice machines except the regular c
4. Pull evaporator away from bulkhead. Place bottom of mylar strip in sump trough and slip up behind evaporator (align slot cut in step 3 with bin switch wire). Mylar must extend above bottom evaporator mounting screw (approximately 2” above gasket/bulkhead joint). 5. Remove paper backing from mylar. Apply tension to mylar to eliminate wrinkles. 6. Align evaporator extrusion and bulkhead screw holes; puncture mylar for the bottom screw holes and insert screws. Install all remaining evaporator sc
CAUTION! Remove entire system charge before proceeding. a. Remove the insulation from the suction line liquid heat exchanger assembly. You will see the liquid line soldered to the suction line for approximately 15”. You must remove this soldered length. b. Remove the liquid line from the suction line. Starting at the evaporator end, use a pliers and a low flame torch to carefully separate the liquid line from the suction line. c. Reinsulate the suction line. Run the removed liquid line outsid
For ease of installation, position compressor on mounting bolt so that the suction port is to the rear of the ice machine. Note: Reducer bushings are provided for suction and process ports.
